MIT Alumus, Dr. Keith Collins, presented Solar Energy Home
Dr. Keith Collins informed the audience at the Energy Night at the MIT Museum that solar energy is practical and affordable today. He built a 700-square-foot house in Rockport, Maine. Super insulation is the key to the house's energy efficiency. There is no furnace. Water is heated by solar panels on the roof. Photovoltaic panels provide all of the house's electricity.
